Job Title : Assistant Manager (SCM)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for purchasing materials, components and supplies
• Analyze supplier quotations and negotiate prices and delivery terms
• Track inventory levels, drive inventory accurancy, delivery schedules and purchase orders
• Analyze data and to identify opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements
• Production planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company's product
• Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
• Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards and are cost-efficient
• Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production
• Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc
• Liaising with customers, suppliers and distributors
• Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products
• Managing inventory issues, schedule changes and cancellations
• Preparing cost estimations and performance reports

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree or equivalent with minimum 5 years experience in production/material planning
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software/program as opportunities or department needs arise
• Experience in MRP, ERP or SAP system
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills
