Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall finance functions of the Labuan Branch (including finance operations)
• Review and submit regulatory financial and statistical reports to Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA)
• Review and submit J-GAAP and US-GAAP returns to Head Office
• Review and submit management reporting to Head Office
• Resposible for all external and internal audit & tax related matters
• Ensure reconciliation of all key accounts (including Nostro and Vostro) on timely basis
• Ensure tax return is submitted to IRB and tax payments are paid promptly
• Review, assess and improve internal control over financial reporting and operations
• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key internal and external stakeholders
• Liaise with regional and Kuala Lumpur office when necessary
  
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting within the banking or financial sector.
• Prior experience in LFSA reporting is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Solid experience in preparing regulatory reports.
• Ability to work independently and apply strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with business stakeholders.
• Team-oriented, with the ability to build relationships and take lead on accounting functions within the branch
