About the Role:
You will lead and manage the assigned region's monthly payroll processing with the payroll vendor, capturing all changes and deviations advised by the respective regions. You will be accountable to verify and validate all payroll input to ensure accuracy and compliance with the internal audit framework. This role reports to the Associate Manager - Payroll and is based in the Petaling Jaya office.

Additional Information
You will lead and manage the assigned region's monthly payroll processing with the payroll vendor, capturing all changes and deviations advised by the respective regions. You will be accountable to verify and validate all payroll input to ensure accuracy and compliance with the internal audit framework. This role reports to the Associate Manager - Payroll and is based in the Petaling Jaya office.
You Will:
- Process monthly end to end payroll of multiple countries following established global policy, process and compliance framework. Including accuracy and timeliness of payroll observing the Service level agreement.
- Monitor and ensure compliance to payroll related regulatory/ statutory requirements in each jurisdiction. Verify and validate all monthly payroll input given by the relevant region, then reconcile payroll before transmission and validate confirmation reports.
- Calculate employee payroll deductions, including taxes and benefit premiums. Ensure proper tax treatment of employer paid benefits.
- Manage relationship with HR, finance, regional heads, banks and third-party vendors for seamless delivery. .
- Manage workflows to capture all pay elements (Hires, exits, increments etc.)
- Prepare Payroll Calendar and update Service level agreement/Checklist.
- Escalate process challenges and risks to supervisor and support implement solution. Manage all end-to-end escalation issues for Level 2 payroll support.
- Support delivery of internal and external audit requirements; review of payroll transactions to identify and rectify errors and omissions.
- Identify and implement agreed continuous improvement opportunities for assigned processes including UAT tests.
- Update all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure document is up-to-date. Document work practices and support streamlining processes to improve operation efficiency.
- Generate payroll-related reports ensuring data confidentiality.
- Handle PO billing or any payment execution for country payroll.
- Review timesheet submissions for accuracy and completeness; troubleshoot and rectify errors.
- High School Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related business discipline.
- 2-3 years of related payroll experiences in BPO/HR Shared Service industry.
- English language competency.
