What's the role?
As an AWS Cloud Architect, you are responsible for designing, delivering and support scalable, secure and efficient cloud solutions. In close collaboration with other teams inside Global IT as well as beyond, you shape Hilti´s cloud technology ecosystem and make sure that we advance architecture maturity. You set and follow common standards, you take leadership in architecting strategic solutions. It is a highly intellectually challenging job as you need to understand and shape our AWS cloud solution as well as have the big picture of our landscape.
What You'll do
You will be a part of our architecture team with a focus on AWS cloud, implementing our cloud strategy, understanding business requirements and identifying areas where cloud solutions can address problems. Also, you are setting governance and oversight standards for other technology departments. With excellent command of Event Driven Architecture & Microservices, in depth understanding of database technologies you will navigate through complexities such as multi-cloud networks and hybrid networks.

- At least bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or any other related fields.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in AWS architecture required.
- You delivered successful transformation and innovation projects, in large scale organization
- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing, profound knowledge of networking concepts and how they apply to cloud environments
- Experience in designing cost optimized, complex event driven asynchronous solutions, using event bridge, even bus pipes, sqs, sns, lambda, etc
- Experience with designing applications using different type of databases (sql, nosql)
- Experience in AWS SDK like Java, Python, or C#
- Comprehensive expertise in cloud Security such as IAM (Identity and Access Management), AWS data protection mechanisms, secure internet protocols, data encryption methods
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication
- Experience in utilizing AI Amazon Q
