Job Summary:

The Bar Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the bar. This includes managing the bar staff, overseeing inventory and supplies, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining legal compliance with alcohol regulations. The ideal candidate will be a leader who can create a fun, safe, and profitable environment for both customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management:

  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise bartenders, barbacks, and other bar staff.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to improve staff skills.
  • Ensure high levels of morale and teamwork among the staff.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain a friendly, welcoming atmosphere at the bar.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure customers have an excellent experience.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and create strategies to enhance it.

Inventory and Stock Control:

  • Oversee bar inventory management, including ordering supplies, maintaining stock levels, and reducing waste.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure accurate inventory control.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts where necessary.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all staff follow health and safety regulations, including food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal alcohol laws.
  • Manage liquor licenses and ensure they are up to date.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor bar budgets, sales, and revenue.
  • Analyze financial reports to determine areas for improvement in profitability.
  • Manage cash handling, POS systems, and ensure accurate reporting.

Bar Operations:

  • Develop and update bar menus, including cocktail and wine lists, in coordination with the General Manager or head bartender.
  • Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Manage special events or promotions to attract and retain customers.

Marketing and Promotions:

  • Collaborate with marketing to create promotions, themed nights, and special events.
  • Promote the bar on social media and within the local community to attract new customers.

Training and Development:

  • Conduct regular training sessions on customer service, drink recipes, and compliance with alcohol regulations.
  • Stay updated on new beverage trends and train staff accordingly.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Open for female candidates with good personality
  • Fluent in Mandarin
  • Could work and based in Singapore
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a bar management or leadership role.
  • Strong background in bartending, mixology, and knowledge of wines, spirits, and beers.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure

Personality:

  • High energy, positive attitude, and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
