Bid Proposal Engineer

This role focuses on providing and developing a competitive and accurate proposal as per customer requirements and will report to the Head of Bid Management in Malaysia.

You’ll break new ground by:

• Technical Evaluation & Solution Design
  
  

Analyzes customer specifications to determine optimal product and solution integration.

Identifies and proposes the most competitive technical solutions.

• Proposal Development & Support
  
  

Supports the sales team throughout the proposal process with technical analysis and documentation.

Ensures accuracy and timely submission of proposals.

• Costing & Bid Preparation
  
  

Prepares cost calculations for bids, covering both internal and external scopes.

• Project Coordination & Scheduling
  
  

Sets priorities and manages proposal submission timelines in coordination with Sales.

• Site Assessment & Stakeholder Collaboration
  
  

Conducts site surveys for design or installation planning.

Coordinates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information.

You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:

• Educational Background & Technical Expertise: Holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with over 5 years of experience in electrical power systems including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, busways, control panels, and SCADA/ENMCS systems.
• Engineering & Proposal Skills: Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and schematics, with added experience in bid/proposal engineering considered a strong advantage.
• Professional Attributes: A proactive, independent, and customer-focused professional with strong analytical and time management skills, capable of performing well under pressure.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels and work well in diverse teams.
• Digital Proficiency & Adaptability: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT tools, adaptable to evolving work environments, and thrives in multicultural settings.
