Position Summary The holder of this key role is responsible for providing a high level interface between our international clients, business leaders, and the team leaders on the ground responsible for delivering complex IT solutions. The core job purpose of the Business Analyst is to analyze and validate the software requirements, ensuring that all the needs of the stakeholders are met and to author extensive software requirements documents that bridge the gap between the needs of the stakeholders and the technical needs to be delivered to the development team
Key Responsibilities
  • Working with clients, stakeholders and/or Product Owners in gathering, clarifying and analyzing business requirements.
  • Clearly communicating software specifications to the Development teams, QA teams, Product Owners and other Stakeholders.
  • Providing detailed business and technical documentation (SRS, BRD and User Stories) and functional designs (Application workflow, Screen mockup and reports).
  • Working with the QA teams to develop test cases that accurately capture the defined business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Working with the Project Management teams to ensure that the development meets the established scope and timeline.
  • Providing support during the development, system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Supporting Product Owners in decision making, problem solving, user training and reporting.

Key Requirements/Skills/Experiences
  • At least 1-3 years of experience as Business Analyst and Software development (management, design, implementation, system analysis, service/support).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Science/Business Studies/Management.
  • Analytically & technically skilled - ability to access the practicality of a solution, with reference to the business requirements, developments efforts, feasibility, scalability and re-usability.
  • Ability to solve problems and propose alternative solutions and workarounds where applicable.
  • Must be self-motivated, self-organized, detail-oriented, proactive and have a positive working attitude and capable to work in a team-environment.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication including presentation and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver within deadlines.
  • Experience in Agile development and Scrum Methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience in Data Analysis or Insurance Business Processes will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge about programming languages and Web application development.
