BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Summary Responsible for developing business and building strong relationships with assigned brokers to achieve company/ department objectives and sales target
Key responsibilities

• To generate New Business and ensure retention of existing clients and accounts from assigned portfolio/ brokers.
• Underwrite all cases of business within the given authority limits and liaise with superiors/ underwriters on risk retention where appropriate.
• Underwrite, manage and monitor performance of the account/project accepted to ensure profitability of the department.
• Manage and conduct on-boarding, training and briefing on new products and services to brokers/clients.
• Assist Supervising Manager in the preparation of sales and production reports.

Key requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Business Studies/ Administration/ Management, Marketing or equivalent.
• Preferably candidate with at least 1 year of relevant working experience in general insurance industry
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly results oriented and detailed oriented.
