What you'll be doing
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across key market verticals in Johor and the Southern Region, focusing on industries with strong trade and logistics potential.
- Drive new customer acquisition and consistently achieve or exceed assigned annual sales and revenue targets.
- Strengthen and expand cross-border trade lanes, particularly with Singapore and Southeast Asia, through close collaboration with Rhenus offices and global partners.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle - from lead generation, client engagement, solution presentation, pricing, and negotiation to closing deals and after-sales follow-up.
- Utilize CRM tools effectively for pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reporting.
- Deliver impactful sales presentations, proposals, and tender responses that highlight Rhenus' integrated logistics and supply chain capabilities.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers to ensure satisfaction, retention, and continued account growth.
- Stay updated on regional market trends, competitor activities, and trade developments relevant to Johor's logistics landscape.
What skills & experience you'll bring to us
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in sales and business development within Malaysia, ideally in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation services.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong understanding of cross-border logistics operations between Johor and Singapore.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in CRM systems for managing customer data, tracking sales performance, and reporting.
- A self-driven, results-oriented professional with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth.
- Familiarity with Johor's industrial zones (e.g., Pasir Gudang, Tanjung Pelepas, Senai) and local business networks is highly desirable.
