Position Description:
As the Country Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Schneider Electric, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and strategy for our Malaysia country. You will be responsible for leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, and ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and an exceptional communicator with a proven track record of financial leadership.
Principle Accountabilities
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the financial strategy for Malaysia country in alignment with the overall company objectives.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts to support business growth and decision-making.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to senior management and headquarters.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional growth and development.
- Cost Management: Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
- Tax and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Collaborate with the executive team on potential acquisitions, mergers, or strategic partnerships, including financial due diligence.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and government agencies.
- Strategic Decision Support: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions, investments, and resource allocation
- Finance Transformation: Drive change management and transformative mindset
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO or a similar senior financial leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Country financial regulations and compliance.
- Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving financial success.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
