- A prominent Malaysian steel manufacturer headquartered in Prai, Penang.
- The company specializes in producing a variety of steel products, including billets, steel bars, wire rods to various industries, particularly in construction and infrastructure development, both within Malaysia and in international markets.
- The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategies of the organization.
- Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director, the CFO plays a crucial role in driving the company’s financial performance and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to achieve the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide financial leadership and recommendations to the CEO and the Board of Directors.
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor financial performance and implement measures to ensure the company's financial health.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure.
- Identify and assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, and lead the financial aspects of due diligence and integration efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions.
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency.
- To conform to requirements of all applicable ISO management system and to comply with relevant law and regulations.
- Oversee various finance and accounting functions, which may include financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, internal audit and more.
- Directly supervise department heads, managers, or team leads within the financial department.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Recommend or approve if appropriate, improvement to existing operating procedures and guidelines.
- Must possess professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, MIA etc.
- Must possess experience working in organization / group of significant revenue size of RM 500 million and above.
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior finance leadership role.
- Excellent English and Mandarin communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial management roles.
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of driving financial success in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
