Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment aboard rigs and marine vessels.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Conduct inspections and tests on mechanical systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve mechanical challenges effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment logs.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations while performing all tasks.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff as needed.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Rig Mechanic or practical experience on mechanical equipment in the marine environment.
- Extensive experience in NOV equipment or equivalent, minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar capacity.
- Degree/ Diploma/ Cert/ Tertiary Education in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- For Malaysian-non-Sarawakian, holding valid work permit is preferrable.
