Job Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to stakeholders, user groups, and committees on the selection and effective use of technologies and applications.
- Assess software requests and evaluate potential solutions to meet business needs.
- Oversee software lifecycle management and coordinate vulnerability management initiatives to ensure application security.
- Manage the processing of software requests for essential client/server applications, ensuring compliance with company standards and deployment protocols.
- Foster collaboration with both internal teams and external partners to enhance application management processes.
- Facilitate the implementation of required client software packages for MS Windows, adhering to established group guidelines.
- Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of existing workflows and the technologies employed.
- Actively participate in projects and subprojects to drive application management initiatives forward.
- A degree in Technical Computer Science or a related technical field, along with relevant professional experience in the IT sector.
- Solid technical expertise in Windows operating systems, client/server applications, and the software packaging of Windows applications (MSI, AppV).
- Familiarity with patch management processes for Windows applications.
- Understanding of software distribution and lifecycle management for Windows client/server applications.
- Knowledge of PowerShell, SQL databases, Power BI, and experience in programming and administering Windows systems in both single-user and multi-user environments is a plus.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities, with a capacity to see the big picture while evaluating technical details and developing comprehensive solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions to stakeholders effectively.
- Proactive attitude and a collaborative team spirit.
- High degree of independence and self-motivation.
- Willingness to learn new topics and stay updated with industry trends.
- Commitment to participating independently in vendor-specific training, certification programs, and self-directed learning.
- Experience working in an international team and a global environment.
- A friendly demeanor, with respect for diverse opinions and a solid understanding of intercultural dynamics.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
