A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will negotiate supply contracts across the APAC region and mainly in Malaysia, to build the world’s largest Gas Turbine fleet. You will need to be able to identify key market conditions, regulations, and risks to help evaluate potential and profitable opportunities. Your capacity to analyze data, financial proficiency, and proactive approach are crucial for success in this role.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Financially and legally prepared to assess and mitigate concrete risks that are triggered by the commercial and technical exposures the projects may foresee.
  • Anticipate potential changes in the contractual structure with our direct customers and end customers that could impact on the terms and conditions tolerated by Siemens Energy for each project during the bidding stage.
  • Become the customer’s voice within Siemens Energy and Siemens Energy’s voice within our customers.
  • Being multifaceted dealing with commercial affairs to projects in different stages of the Energy Sector in Korea and Asia Pacific.
  • Clear understanding of the implications impacting the P&L and Balance sheet due to changes related to the project schedule, scope, T&Cs, currency, financial security instruments, payment plans, insurances, tax, ECC, compliance and contractual structure.
  • A Strategic and sales attitude that can be easily translated in the form of a story telling to persuade internal and external customers on bidding and contracting the projects selected by the Financial Head of GS S AP.


What You Bring

  • Vast knowledge on tendering process for power generation projects, such as bidding timelines, minimum requirements from developers or GNECOS, main hurdles that could block the continuity of the bidding process, geopolitical challenges that could divert the tendering process and its implications for customers and SE' technologies.
  • Excellent handling in keeping the correct timing with the most accurate input for specification development of the bidding process, aimed to improve SE's technology and T&Cs advantages.
  • Robust experience on reading and analyzing the commercial and legal exposure from different kinds of Requests For Quotations (RFQs). Bringing the existing market perspective into account in parallel with the current boundary's conditions SE's management is currently pushing to achieve its market share and Profit/Cash expectations.
  • A master on translating the risk exposure into a financial, commercial, or legal mitigation throughout the bidding phase until the contract signature.
  • A master in negotiating supply contracts under consortium agreements with EPC partners, which bidding phases are longer than a year and negotiations will trigger different kinds of risk exposures that will require SE's management approval in different stages.
  • The assurance that all cost and contingencies associated with the RFQ and risk exposure presented in each tendering/contract have been scrutinized and included in the Price and Free Cash flow of the project.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
