Content Strategist

HEPMIL Malaysia is a digital content and creator agency that connects brands with Gen Z and young millennials with hyper-localised entertaining content. Home to pages like MGAG and Hepmil Creators' Network, we're looking for a Content Strategist who's looking to pursue content creation as a career and make every Malaysian's day a better one.

Key responsibilities for this role:

Content Strategy & Planning

• Develop, execute, and optimise social media content strategies that resonate with Malaysian Gen Z and Millennial audiences in MGAG
• Collaborate with creative team to create culturally relevant and engaging content (local trends, culture and interests)

Content Creation & Execution

• Brainstorm and ideate creative concepts and campaigns that appeal to the target demographic
• Record, shoot, and edit video content (mostly TikToks, Instagram Reels, and IG Posts)
• Stay on top of the current trends in social media and pop culture to ensure content is fresh and viral-ready (Keep scrolling on that TikTok page, it helps!)

Content Production

• Oversee the ideation, scripting, and production of content for brand campaigns, ensuring a consistent voice and quality
• Execute hands-on-content production-shoot, edit, and deliver content thats meets the brand's creative brief and vision (in your own style, BE FREE!)
• Be the talent of your own content! (Yeah, be famous!)

Community Engagement

• Monitor audience engagement, comments, and feedback to guide content creation and improve audience interaction

Candidate Requirements:

• Highly creative with a passion for trends, pop culture, and storytelling
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of social media platforms (TikTok and Instagram), especially with Gen Z and Millennial audiences
• Excellent video production skills (filming, editing, and post-production)
• Ability to ideate and craft engaging content across multiple formats
• Proficient in video editing software (Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc)
• Familiar with social media management and analytics tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, etc)
