About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Country Head to lead and grow our Indonesian operations, based in Medan, Indonesia. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with strong execution capability, exceptional leadership, and a deep understanding of the Indonesian market.

The Country Head will be responsible for overseeing business performance, building key partnerships, and driving Aonic’s expansion and impact in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Market Leadership

• Develop and implement Aonic’s go-to-market and growth strategy for Indonesia.
• Identify new business opportunities in key sectors such as infrastructure, energy, Agri-Tech, and enterprise tech.
• Represent Aonic’s interests with local stakeholders, including clients, government, regulators, and partners.
  
  

Operations Management

• Lead end-to-end country operations including business development, project delivery, finance, HR, and compliance.
• Ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement across all functions.
• Monitor business KPIs and ensure execution against defined targets.
  
  

Commercial Growth

• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
• Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with local companies, government agencies, and ecosystem players.
• Guide the team in winning and delivering large-scale digital transformation or infrastructure projects.
  
  

Team Development & Culture

• Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing local team.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and innovative-driven work culture aligned with Aonic’s values.
• Implement leadership development and talent retention strategies.
  
  

Finance & Governance

• Own the P&L for Indonesia and ensure sound financial management and reporting.
• Ensure all activities comply with Indonesian laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact with auditors, regulators, and legal advisors in-country.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Technology, or related fields. MBA or postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a country/regional leadership or general management role.
• Proven track record in business expansion, P&L ownership, and team leadership within Indonesia.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian regulatory, cultural, and business landscapes, especially in North Sumatra and surrounding regions.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with clients, government, and key local stakeholders.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (verbal and written).
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, scale-up environment.
