As a Creative Director, you will own the creative vision and design direction for multiple projects and campaigns, ensuring high-quality, on-brand visual assets that drive business impact.
You will lead a design team, manage stakeholder relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate strategy into compelling digital experiences across e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate has deep experience in digital creative work, e-commerce environments, and leading design teams to deliver polished, scalable work.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Leadership and Strategic Direction
Develop and oversee the design direction for each project or campaign, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and business objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project needs, objectives, and success metrics; translate these into creative briefs and design frameworks.
Lead design process, timeline setting, and capacity planning for design capabilities; ensure timely delivery of assets and iterative improvements.
Team Management and Collaboration
Manage and mentor the design team, providing guidance, feedback, and performance development.
Partner with Design Lead and Art Director to interpret creative needs and execute high-impact design solutions.
Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
Digital Creative Excellence
Develop high-quality, high-accuracy visual concepts and designs for diverse marketplaces and digital channels.
Ensure delivery of polished, production-ready visual assets (web, mobile, social, ads, and campaigns) within agreed timelines.
Maintain consistency across channels, ensuring brand integrity and design language.
E-commerce and Marketplace Experience
Apply deep e-commerce experience to design campaigns and storefronts on platforms such as Shopee (SHP), Lazada (LZD), TikTok Shop, and Brand.com.
Optimize creative assets for marketplace-specific requirements, formats, and algorithms to maximize engagement and conversion.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brand teams, product managers, and marketing leads.
Present concepts and final deliverables to senior stakeholders, incorporating feedback and aligning on next steps.
Manage expectations and communicate trade-offs, risks, and dependencies clearly.
Operational Excellence and RCAs
Conduct root cause analyses (RCAs) for design and process issues; implement improvement actions and update design guidelines accordingly.
Develop and maintain scalable design processes, guidelines, and best practices to improve efficiency and quality across projects.
Delivery and Quality Assurance
Ensure timely delivery of design assets, with attention to detail, accessibility, and usability.
Establish and monitor quality metrics, feedback loops, and post-delivery reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in design, Creative Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: 5-9 years of experience in creative leadership, digital design, and e-commerce contexts; proven track record delivering across Shopee (SHP), Lazada (LZD), TikTok Shop, and Brand.com ecosystems.
Leadership: Prior team management experience with the ability to mentor designers, inspire creativity, and drive performance.
Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of digital creative work, visual storytelling, branding, and marketplace design requirements.
Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to influence and manage expectations with senior stakeholders; excellent communication and presentation skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch); understanding of web/mobile design, UX/UI principles, and asset optimization for e-commerce.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret metrics and feedback to inform design decisions.
Language: Proficiency in English.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required to support client needs or brand initiatives.
