Your future team
We have recently started a journey towards using more AI, digitalization and automation and better use of data – and this is where your abilities come into play. You will join our Data Science & Engineering team and work at the forefront of AI and machine learning. This role reports directly to the manager of the Data Science & Engineering team based in Denmark and is an integral part of a larger global Data Science & Engineering team. Furthermore, you will be responsible for leading a team of 5 people with various roles such as data scientists, data engineers and ML Engineers.
What You Will Be Doing
We are seeking a talented and experienced Team Lead who will be responsible for leading a newly established team of 5 talented data scientists & engineers with a focus on maintaining our AI/ML models and AI products. In this role, you will ensure the stability, performance, and continuous operation of our AI products. The role requires a blend of technical and people skills. More concretely, you will have the following responsibilities :

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will ensure the stability, performance, and continuous operation of our AI products. The role requires a blend of technical and people skills. More concretely, you will have the following responsibilities :
- Lead and manage an operations team of 5 data scientists, data engineers & ML engineers, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
- Ensure all AI products developed by the team are operating smoothly and efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain the performance of AI products, addressing and resolving issues within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Be a key part of setting up and recruiting the roles required to create the local team in Malaysia.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of AI solutions.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Manage and prioritize the team's workload, ensuring timely and successful delivery of projects.
- A master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science and it would be great if you have experience with either the manufacturing industry or with GenAI. At least 2 years of experience in a people management role.
- Experienced with managing data scientists and data engineers
- Experience of working with LLMs, transformer models, vector databases, RAG frameworks, Langchain, etc.
- Excellent skills within Python, R, SQL, and cloud computing technologies
- Hands on experience in deploying models and algorithms into production systems is desirable
- Experience with ML Ops tools and frameworks such as Kubeflow, MLflow, e.g. is desirable
- Professional in English language
