Demi Chef

Job Summary: The Demi Chef is responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in the hotel's kitchen. This role requires a passion for culinary arts, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes as per the hotel's menu and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.
• Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring food safety practices are upheld.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new menu items and improve existing ones.
• Participate in staff training and development programs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Culinary diploma or relevant qualification.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
• Passion for culinary arts and a desire to grow in the hospitality industry.
