About your new role!

We are seeking an experienced Director, Media Planning with an in-depth understanding of the Malaysia media landscape. This role requires a confident and proactive professional who excels in senior client stakeholder engagement, internal team collaboration, and meticulous financial management. You will craft and execute impactful media strategies while juggling multiple projects and ensuring seamless integration across teams and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic, data-driven media plans across digital channels to meet client objectives.
  • Confidently engage and manage relationships with senior client stakeholders, providing strategic counsel and building trust.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Paid Media, ad buyers, finance teams, and clients to ensure smooth campaign execution and performance.
  • Manage billing, costing, and financial reporting with diligence and accuracy.
  • Proactively identify and foster relationships with media partners and vendors to uncover new ad buying opportunities.
  • Lead internal teams, ensuring alignment with client goals and timely delivery of media plans.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging media platforms to inform strategic planning.
  • Utilize analytics and performance data to refine media strategies and optimize campaign performance.
  • Responsible to increase revenue for the team with a set benchmark


What we'd love to see from you:

  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in media planning and strategy, with a strong focus on digital media.
  • Deep understanding of the Malaysia media landscape.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence senior client stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in managing billing, costing, and budget allocations.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Hands-on media buying experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience in the telecommunications and banking industries is an advantage.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
