This role is responsible for driving financial performance, providing actionable insights, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting related to sales, marketing, and other commercial activities and will work closely with sales leadership, marketing managers, and other key stakeholders to develop budgets, track performance against targets, and identify opportunities for improvement

You Will

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Develop and manage the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for commercial activities.
    • Analyze sales trends, marketing ROI, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Provide insightful commentary on financial results and variances, identifying key drivers and areas for improvement.
    • Develop financial models and scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
  • Management Reporting:
    • Prepare and distribute regular financial reports to commercial leadership, highlighting key performance metrics.
    • Develop customized reports and dashboards to track progress against targets and identify areas of concern.
    • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to commercial teams as needed.
  • Financial Control and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting policies and procedures.
    • Review and approve commercial contracts and agreements.
    • Monitor and control spending within the commercial budget.
    • Partner with internal audit to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Business Partnering:
    • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to provide financial guidance and support.
    • Participate in commercial strategy discussions and provide financial input.
    • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities and risks.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of commercial finance operations.
You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial finance role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is a plus.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
