About the role

Responsible for managing electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, optimizing spare parts availability, and supporting energy conservation initiatives. This role also oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, equipment calibration, and team development to maintain operational efficiency and safety standards.

Reporting to Engineering and Maintenance Manager

Key responsibilities

• Budget, Expenses & Spare Parts Management
• Ensure optimum spare parts availability. Coordinate with suppliers, purchasing department, and end users for spare parts ordering and timely deliveries.
• Energy & Cost Savings
• Monitor and record plant electricity consumption.
• Implement energy conservation measures to reduce costs.
• Equipment Management
• Plan and manage calibration, inspection, testing, and verification of IMTE and electrical equipment as per HACCP and food safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and rectify breakdowns related to IMTE and electrical/electronic equipment.
• Legal & Engineering Compliance
• Conduct regular testing on earthing protection systems, fire suppression systems, UPS, diesel engine alternators, circuit breakers, and thermographic inspections.
• Ensure electrical equipment is maintained in safe condition and liaise with TNB and Suruhanjaya Tenaga for compliance.
• People Management
• Enforce discipline and guide subordinates to perform duties effectively.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
• QHSE
• Prepare and review maintenance procedures in line with environmental, health, and safety standards, HACCP, and audit requirements.
• System Management
• Organize, plan, and implement Preventive and Corrective Maintenance programs as per PM Schedule and SAP.
• Others
• Investigate and resolve maintenance-related complaints.
• Manage plant improvement projects according to international electrical standards.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.
  
  

Qualifications and skills

• Competency Certified Electrical Chargeman BO.
• Technical Skills Instrumentation, PLC systems, and Power Supply.
• Experience Minimum 5 years in electrical maintenance
• Knowledge HACCP, food safety management systems, and statutory compliance for electrical systems.
• Soft Skills Leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
