Electrical Manager (Ipoh)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Manager to join their team in Ipoh. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage daily operations of the Electrical department, implement cost control activities, and oversee preventive maintenance. The successful candidate will have the chance to facilitate process automation improvements in line with Industry 4.0 initiatives and work on LEAN projects related to electrical energy and process waste reductions.

What You'll Do

As an Electrical Manager, your role will be pivotal in managing the daily operations of the Electrical department. You will be responsible for implementing cost control measures, overseeing preventive maintenance of electrical machines, providing support to your team in troubleshooting critical issues, facilitating process automation improvements, implementing LEAN projects, coordinating machine shutdown works with other departments, formulating plans for department manning and succession planning, as well as developing sustainable strategies to improve operations.

• Manage daily Electrical department operations and manning.
• Implement cost control and cost saving activities.
• Oversee and manage preventive maintenance of electrical machines/instruments such as motors, inverters, starters, etc.
• Provide support and guidance to Engineers/Foreman/Technicians in troubleshooting and/or addressing critical issues at production line.
• Facilitate improvement/upgrading of process automations (PLC/SCADA) in line with Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Implement LEAN project and cost saving related to electrical energy and process waste reductions.
• Work with Production and Maintenance Department in coordinating machine shutdown works.
• Formulate short-, medium- and long-term plan for department manning and succession planning.
• Formulate sustainable strategies to improve departmental operations and improve machine efficiencies.
