Job Overview

Provide assistance to the Region Manager and Region Engineer on the Work Order Monitoring , Highway Assets Inspection and other matters related to the Highway Asset Management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the implementation and documentation of work orders in NMM Operations.
- Supervise and coordinate on-site activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, technical standards, quality requirements, timelines, and contractual obligations.
- Conduct pre-commencement meetings and review work programs and method statements before the start of work.
- Verify testing results, conduct joint final inspections, and recommend the issuance of Certificates of Practical Completion (CPC) within 14 days post-inspection for Project Director (PD) verification.
- Update and review work order progress weekly in the NMM Work Order system.
- Perform asset inspections along the North-South Expressway as per the Master Inspection Program or as requested by the Region Manager.
- Liaise and coordinate with clients, authorities, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
- Assist the design and technical teams in conducting defect assessments.
- Perform pre-assessments for defective highway assets and prepare detailed reports for submission to the client
- Respond to emergencies, perform site assessments, coordinate necessary repairs, and prepare comprehensive reports within the stipulated timeframes.
- Ensure strict adherence to QSHE policies, procedures, and standards in all activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in engineering consultancy or construction works
- Basic understanding of asset management principles and practices.
