Job Purpose :
- To coordinate, manage and lead a group of Technician and Operator to achieve section and company objectives, KPI and goals.
- To set up, ensure and maintain machineries in good working conditions with Autonomous and Preventive system.
- To ensure production in accordance with regulation standards, achieve quality as per specification and quantity as per production plan.
- To assist Manager/Assistant Manager in all activities in Chilled Plant (UHT and Fresh Milk).
To oversee & maintain Food Safety Management System (FSMS) ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Key Accountabilities :
(A) Food Safety Management System (FSMS) Maintenance
· To improve and implement FSMS at production area in compliance with latest industry standards such as ISO 22000, HACCP, and other relevant regulations.
· Ensure documentation and records in place reflecting current practices and regulatory requirements.
· Ensure personal hygiene, GMP and good housekeeping standards maintain in line with HACCP/ISO 22000/22002/FSSC requirement.
· Prepare and participate in external/internal audits and inspections.
(B) Production Management
· Supervise production activities during assigned shift to ensure production attainment, production quality, and daily task are met.
· Monitor & ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
· Allocate manpower & resources efficiently to meet production demands and maximize productivity.
· Track & improve KPI for plant & production indicators such as output, efficiency, yield, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure smooth transition between shifts by conducting handover meeting and reporting.
(C) Maintenance Management
· Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and improve OEE.
· Develop & implement Total Productive Maintenance to enhance equipment efficiency through autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance, and quality maintenance.
· Manage spare part inventory to ensure availability of components.
· Develop and maintain a system for tracking spare parts usage and replenishment.
· Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of spare parts/tasks.
Perform hands-on task independently & troubleshoot arising issues.
(D) Continuous Improvement
· Lead teams to identify and eliminate inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality and improvement initiatives.
Identify opportunities & collect feedback from shift operations for continuous improvement strategies.
(E) Training & Development
· Lead, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve high level of performance and adherence to company policies.
· Identify training needs and training programme to enhance skills & knowledge of the team.
(F) Safety & Environment
· Ensure safety procedures and safe working methods are practiced in accordance to safety standards & regulatory compliance.
· Identify and manage SHE related matters at workplace including develop and update HIRADC.
· Monitor team members and vendor/contractor for strict adherence to personal safety & other Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) related matters.
· Ensure compliance to Environmental Management System ISO 14001, included Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) discharge and waste management.
(G) General
Engage team members/subordinates for people development purposes; cost optimization and quality improvement activities i.e. through ICC, suggestion activity, Kaizen, QCC, FI, 5S, MDWT etc
(H) Others
Carry out any other duties or assignments as requested by reporting superior as and when required.
