Job Description

Job Summary:

onsemi is currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer to work on wire bond process. This person will utilize her/his knowledge, skills, and most importantly energy and willingness to learn, to take on challenges to support onsemi's technology and engineering. This position reports to the Manager.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Work with wirebond equipment technician to improve equipment stability
• Optimizes process parameters ,quality and yield improvement efforts.
• Sustain process PFMEA and control plan
• Review and involve on root cause analysis and 8D closure with process engineering team
• Creates and maintains detailed technical process documentation including work instructions.
• Implements advances on metrology and inspection techniques.
• Works closely with Operations, Engineering, and vendors.
• Knowledge of project management and planning skills.
• Manages equipment, process optimization qualifications.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability in:

• Knowledge of basic operation, design, and function of manufacturing equipment (ASM, Shikawa).
• Understanding of wire bonding process.
• Design of experiments and statistical data analysis.
• Project management.
• Self-motivated, independent and hands on.
• Approach ability & internal customer focus.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and simultaneously support and coordinate multiple projects.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of industrial experience in an engineering or development environment.
• Experience in process design, process optimization and or production support.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical,and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent Excel skills required and intermediate capability in other MS Office tools.
• Comfortable multi-tasking in a dynamic engineering and manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and drive to take proactive approach is required.
• Solid experience to independently identify, analyze, and solve problems with creative and successful solutions.
