The ESG Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy within the organization. This role involves supporting the establishment of ESG baselines, conducting internal audits, and ensuring compliance with global standards like ISO 14001 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The ESG Coordinator will collaborate with an external consultant on materiality assessments, calculate and report carbon emissions, and handle ESG-related queries from suppliers and customers. Additionally, the role includes monitoring sustainability targets, coordinating with the CSR team, and ensuring adherence to governance principles, with a focus on continuous improvement in ESG performance.
Support the Establishment of the Baseline of Sustainability and ESG Performance - Assist in assessing the plant’s environmental impact, compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
Assist in Developing the ESG Strategy and Roadmap - Collaborate on the creation of a clear sustainability strategy aligned with industry standards and ESG principles
Coordinate with ESG Consultant - Facilitate collaboration with the external consultant performing materiality assessments and developing ESG reports.
Calculate and Report GHG Emissions and Carbon Tax Submissions - Measure carbon emissions and ensure compliance with CBAM and other regulations
Respond to ESG-Related Queries and Questionnaires - Address inquiries from suppliers and customers about ESG performance.
Monitor and Report Sustainability Targets - Track progress toward achieving sustainability goals and benchmarks
Conduct Departmental ESG Audits - Ensure compliance with ESG policies and identify improvement areas across departments.
Collaborate with CSR Team and Support Governance Initiatives - Align ESG efforts with CSR activities and ensure adherence to governance principles

- REQUIREMENT:
- Minimum qualification of Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environment Science or equivalent.
- A registered competent person with Department of Environment. Strong network with regulatory bodies and government agencies (DOE, NREB and other local authorities
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in environment related assignments with knowledge in environment management systems.
