Executive, AML Transaction Monitoring (Contract)

Job Purpose:

1. Primarily responsible to assist Lead Manager – Transaction Monitoring (TM) on the implementation of Sanction and Transaction Monitoring requirements within the Bank, and ensuring AML risk management throughout the Bank are effective;
2. Assist on the implementation of AML/CFT initiatives and on-going activities for AML Unit including other stakeholder(s) as may be identified to serve future needs
3. Serve as the organization representative and advocate for excellence in AML compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the identification and assessment of risk within the Bank that includes the review of the TM alerts and sanction alerts embedded in the systems or exception reports i.e. perform transaction monitoring, name screening alerts triggered from CNS, adverse media screening, etc
• Assist in review the Internal Suspicious Transaction Reporting, conduct investigation and identify red flags and to further escalate to Checker/Team Lead.
• Assist in the review of the adequacy of STM controls in mitigating ML/TF risks and identify any area for improvements.
• Ensure quality and timely submission of all works assigned.
• Track and follow up on any identified deficiencies and plan to address AML deficiencies arising from independent review.
• Provide timely update to Head of AML/immediate supervisor on potential AML issue.
• Assist immediate supervisor to reinforce AML compliance culture in the Bank by inculcating risk and compliance is everyone's responsibilities.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor, Head of AML and Chief Compliance Officer from time to time.

Education/Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree of any discipline

Work Experience:

• Fresh Graduate or minimum 1 year of experience in AML Compliance
• Understanding of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations and able to keep abreast of new ML/TF/PF modus operandi and typologies
• Relevant experiences on AML/STM will be an added advantage
