YOUR ROLE AS A:
Safety Risk Management Executive
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
The Safety Risk Management executive is responsible to the Safety Risk Management Manager forprocessing the day to day Safety Risk Management & Assurance program tasks that includes Hazard
Identification, Safety Risk Assessment, Safety Risk Mitigation, Safety/Operational Reporting, Safety
Performance and Management of Change. a. Strengthen AirAsia brand image and customer advocacy. b. Promote AirAsia’s culture within the organization. c. Ensure transparency and promote good governance. d. Develop talents and strengthen staff’s capability; ensure all staff receive appropriate training.

Ensure, at the same time, assist and support others to Identify, classify, record and keep log of all hazards identified.
Analyse all safety data that may identify existing hazards or may predict future hazards, to the organization.
Assist and support in identifying, reporting, recording, and investigating hazards from all sources.
Assist and support in safety investigation in accordance with safety investigation process and procedures, as well as clearly identifying root cause(s).
Carry out safety investigations as and when required.
Carry out risk assessment for all hazards identified.
Hazards are analysed to determine corresponding safety risks to the operations.
Classify, record and keep log of all risk and risk assessments (risk registry).
Assist and support ALL risk assessments and formulation of mitigation actions for hazards, risk and root causes identified.
Safety risks are assessed to determine the requirement for risk mitigation action(s).
Monitor and ensure necessary mitigation actions are implemented as required.
Classify, record and keep logs of all mitigation actions.
Monitor and review effectiveness of mitigation actions.
Encourage and facilitate personnel to submit reports that identify safety hazards.
Expose safety deficiencies and raise safety concerns.
Ensures mandatory reporting in accordance with applicable regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of all confidential reports received in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
Update Safety Performance Indicators and Targets (SPI/SPT).
Make available these data and/or information for management quarterly reviews.
Record and maintain records of all MOCs conducted, mitigation actions or recommendations in the Safety Library, in accordance with company and regulatory records keeping requirements.
Present all MOCs for management quarterly reviews.
Assist, support and ensure continuous monitoring of the SPI/T in order to continuously improve safety performance.
Continuously monitor the organization’s SMS, its related safety risk controls and support systems to evaluate if the safety management processes are achieving their desired safety performance objectives.
Present all evaluations for management review.
Assist to ensure all related documents are updated in the Safety Library as applicable, in accordance with organization documentation and records control requirements.
Adhere to all SOPs aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements. b. Track operating progress and result against annual plan and KPIs to ensure targets are met; develop action plans as needed.
Suggest innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
WHO YOU ARE:
Sound knowledge of the organization’s operations, procedures and activities.
Broad aviation technical knowledge.
An extensive knowledge of safety management systems (SMS) and have completed appropriate SMS training.
An understanding of risk management principles and techniques to support SMS.
Experience implementing and/or managing SMS.
Experience and qualifications in aviation accident/incident investigation and human factors.
Experience and qualifications in conducting safety/quality audits and inspections.
Sound knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks, including ICAO Standards and.
Recommended Practices (SARPS) and relevant civil aviation regulations.
The ability to communicate at all levels both inside and outside the company.
The ability to be firm in conviction, promote a just and fair culture‖ and yet advance an open and non- punitive atmosphere for reporting.
The ability and confidence to communicate directly to the head of department as his advisor and confidante.
Well-developed communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills of a high order, with the ability to liaise with a variety of individuals and organizational representatives, including those from differing cultural backgrounds.
Computer literacy and superior analytical skills.
