Duties And Responsibilities
Handyman Responsibilities:
- Performing a wide variety of tasks, such as minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
- Painting walls, installing shelves, assembling furniture, and repairing doors and windows.
- Conducting routine inspections and responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Troubleshooting and repairing household appliances and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of various trades, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
- Proficiency in using a range of hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining water and drainage systems in commercial office buildings and cafetaria.
- Installing and replacing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
- Diagnosing and fixing issues like low water pressure, blocked drains, and leaky pipes.
- Ensuring all plumbing work adheres to local regulations and building codes.
- Specialized knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage, and sewage systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with plumbing tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, wrenches, and soldering equipment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, especially those related to water and sanitation.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Certificate in Vocational/SKM/Diploma in Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in facilities management or building operations with knowledge of plumbing systems.
- Able to work under pressure and in a fast-changing environment
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia.
