Job Responsibilities:

The Manager, Finance will be based at Sunsuria City, Sepang. You'll be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the school, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with international education regulations. This role involves budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning to support the school’s mission and objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and report on annual budgets, ensuring alignment with the school’s strategic goals.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for the school board, leadership team, and stakeholders.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs and long-term investments.
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with local regulations and international financial standards.
  • Financial Strategy: Provide financial insights and guidance to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyse costs and recommend efficiencies to optimize financial resources.
  • Accounting Oversight: Supervise the accounting team, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and timely processing of transactions.
  • Billing Management: Manage billing and collections, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Financial Policies: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree / Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in Education industry.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English is required).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Attention to details.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with international education regulations and financial practices.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
