To ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of QBE ANZO’s capital reporting requirements including statutory, regulatory and budgeting requirements.
Your New Role:
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to regional, Bank Negara Malaysia and other regulatory bodies.
- Review and validate financial data for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct analysis of financial results from both strategic and analytical perspectives
- Manage day-to-day delivery of team services to meet specific needs of the business.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on financial matters.
- Keeping abreast with financial and regulatory changes
- Drive process optimisation and efficiency targets.
- Provide financial management leadership in areas such as tax, financial reporting, and treasury management to the finance team.
- Establish effective financial controls to protect the organisation's profits.
- Support the development and maintenance of financial systems and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and risk policies
- Manage external and internal audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Liaise with regional and group finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Other regular or ad hoc financial or regulatory reports, as required.
- Support Head of Finance in leadership of the Finance team.
- Supervise and mentor junior reporting staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in insurance or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.
- Proficient in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
