About The Job
As Financial Sanctions Compliance analyst you will contribute to the global sanctions compliance of Sanofi by performing first-level screening of master data records and transactions of Sanofi against international sanctions lists. You will also conduct investigations on prospect customers as well as perform look-back reviews on previous transactions with counterparties of Sanofi.
You will also maintain records and keep statistics of our screening activity with an eye on continuous process improvement opportunities and risk mitigating actions.

About The Job
As Financial Sanctions Compliance analyst you will contribute to the global sanctions compliance of Sanofi by performing first-level screening of master data records and transactions of Sanofi against international sanctions lists. You will also conduct investigations on prospect customers as well as perform look-back reviews on previous transactions with counterparties of Sanofi.
You will also maintain records and keep statistics of our screening activity with an eye on continuous process improvement opportunities and risk mitigating actions.

Main Responsibilities
- Perform first-level screening of customers, vendors, employees and account holder banks of Sanofi upon establishment of the relationship and on a continuous basis (off-line screening)
- Process real-time alerts on payments and sales orders
- Perform pre-contractual screening of occasional and prospect customers
- Conduct retrospective investigations by gathering and analysing data on past transactions with entities potentially subject to international sanctions regulations
- Maintain records and statistics related to the investigations
- Request second-level investigation where appropriate
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance/Compliance/Law
- 1 - 3 years’ work experience gained in multinational environment preferably and in internal audit, compliance or operations roles
- Ability to execute repetitive tasks carefully
- Attention to detail
- Relaxed personality who makes decisions based on facts and figures
- Ability to work on his/her own but escalate issues if needed
- Experience in SAP / SAP GTS is a plus
- Advanced usage of MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Fluent written and spoken English is a must, any additional language is an advantage
