- Untuk merawat pesakit yang mengalami masalah fizikal akibat penyakit, kecederaan, hilang upaya atau penuaan.
- Untuk merawat semua peringkat umur termasuk kanak-kanak, orang tua, pesakit strok dan orang yang mengalami kecederaan sukan.
- Untuk menggalakkan kesihatan dan kesejahteraan pesakit, dan membantu proses pemulihan dengan membangunkan dan memulihkan sistem badan, khususnya perkhidmatan penjagaan neuromuskular, muskuloskeletal, kardiovaskular dan kejururawatan.
- Untuk merangka dan menyemak program rawatan, yang terdiri daripada terapi manual, pergerakan, senaman terapeutik dan penggunaan peralatan teknologi elektroterapi, contohnya Ultrasound.
