Job Description

• Create patterns using opcode-driven vector generation for digital pin channels that send signals to the device under test.
• Implement DSP functionality in digitzers for capturing and analysing analog waveforms.
• Manage DIMM memory access and pattern sequencing for Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) and Digital Input/Output (DIG) functions.
• Utilize FPGAs in power supply and analog channel instruments for switch and relay control, sequencing, and measurement tasks.
• Ensure all instruments support PCIe connectivity for function access.
• Engage in IC design utilizing advanced AMD and Intel FPGA devices, focusing on synthesis, placement and routing, and achieving timing constraints and closure.
• Design RTL modules and create simulation test benches for verification.
• Conduct IC characterisation and support lab bring-up activities.
• Primarily target designs for FPGA devices, with some involvement in ASIC work.
• Generate technical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with software and board design engineers to ensure effective integration of the IC into complete test instruments.
  
  
  

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with software experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in designing complex digital RTL modules and FPGAs is required.
• Experience in RTL module design, test bench development, and module verification is essential.
• Proficiency with AMD (Vivado) and/or Altera (Quartus Prime) tools is required.
• Experience with Verilog and System Verilog languages is necessary.
• Familiarity with Python is preferred.
• Proficient in English is required.
• Ability to utilize computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team, with the ability to follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy in completing assignments.
