Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

The Frontend API Developer Intern will support the development of front-end web pages and backend integrations that enable provisioning of smartwatch services with cellular functions on Android devices. This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise application development, REST API integrations, and agile project collaboration — contributing to high-impact digital initiatives.

What are you accountable for?

• Develop front-end web pages for Android smartphones to interface with smartwatch service provisioning.
• Integrate backend API calls for order submissions and data exchanges.
• Develop backend services using SpringBoot Framework to manage message routing.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts to gather requirements and provide regular updates on development progress.
• Work alongside testers to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues during testing phases.
  
  

Value-Add Project

Contribute to the Entitlement Server Project for Android Devices, a key platform supporting cellular smartwatch pairing and service activation for devices like Samsung Gear and Huawei Watch GT. This project plays an essential role in enabling connected services for Maxis customers.

Who are we looking for?

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficient in Java programming.
• Familiar with Web Development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience or understanding of REST API integrations.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
