Frontend Engineering Lead

Job Description

The Frontend Engineering Lead focuses on short-term operational and/or tactical responsibilities by providing management to a group of professionals. He/She oversees the strategy implementation and operations for design, development, testing, debugging and implementing software applications or specialised utility programs in support of end users' needs on platforms. He mentors, coaches, coordinates as well as provides technical leadership to the junior staff. He focuses on policy and strategy implementation and control.

He applies critical and analytical thinking toward developing optimal application solutions. He is a strong leader who is decisive, able to engage, influence and communicate his ideas persuasively to others.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the frontend development for both Vue.js (web) and Flutter (mobile) applications.
• Design, architect, and maintain scalable frontend systems in alignment with modern best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, performance benchmarks, and testing protocols.
• Provide technical mentorship to frontend engineers and lead code reviews.
• Act as a thought partner with product and UX/UI to shape feature feasibility and timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement in frontend quality, performance, and developer productivity.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and team growth activities.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in frontend development, with 2+ years in a leadership or tech lead role.
• Strong expertise in Vue.js (Vue 3+, Nuxt, Composition API) and Flutter.
• Solid understanding of state management, modular architecture, and testing strategies.
• Prior experience building customer-facing applications in the telecom industry (must-have).
• Strong grasp of CI/CD, API integration, performance optimization, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with backend collaboration (GoLang backend preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proven experience mentoring engineers and leading high-performing teams.
  
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with analytics, A/B testing, and telemetry integration.
• Background in Clean Architecture, BLoC (Flutter), and TypeScript (for Vue).
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments or Kubernetes (e.g., EKS).
