Objectives of the position

Digitalization will be a true part of BASF’s DNA that creates new exciting customer experiences and business growth as well as drives efficiencies in processes. This is our digital VISION for BASF.

The Digital Data Chain (DDC) team is the full digitalization of the information provisioning process for products from the manufacturer to the owner/operator. The objectives include Automatic Identification of products via QR-code, Intelligent product documentation with metadata, Documentation provisioning via cloud-based Information Exchange Platforms (IEP) etc.

In this role, you will be part of the DDC team and develop together with your team members software solutions for the DDC.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the user stories for documentation provisioning and accessing over the IEP
• Develop front & backend of the solutions according to requirements from user stories
• Further improve the developed solutions and add new functionalities if required

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable field
• Minimum 1-year related working experience in full stack, web-application development
• Expertise in Python, JavaScript, SQL, Docker for software development
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Team player with high willingness to learn, a positive attitude, as well as experience working in global and diverse teams
