General Accountant/Financial Accountant (Independent Contractor)

Job Purpose

The Financial / General Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements, and supporting financial reporting and analysis. This role involves processing accounts payable, managing financial reporting via SAP, monitoring expenses, reconciling bank transactions, and ensuring accurate tax filings across China and Taiwan.

Job Description

Accounts Payable Processing & Expense Monitoring:

• Process supplier invoices and payments accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with financial controls.
• Monitor expenses, verifying that all transactions align with company policies and budgetary guidelines.
• Manage Fapiao (invoice) issuance and reconciliation for China operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax regulations.
  
  

Financial Reporting & SAP Management

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheet reports to support financial decision-making.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records in SAP, maintaining compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary financial documentation and responding to audit queries.
  
  

Inventory Audit & Stock Count

• Conduct inventory reconciliations and stock audits to maintain accurate inventory valuation.
• Ensure precise recording of stock movements in financial reports to reflect real-time inventory status.
  
  

Bank Reconciliation & Custody Administration

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Oversee custody and control of financial documents, safeguarding critical records such as contracts, invoices, and tax filings.
  
  

Tax & Compliance Management

• Prepare and file Monthly VAT returns in strict compliance with local tax regulations in China and Taiwan.
• Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and adherence to financial regulations, mitigating risks related to tax and financial compliance.
  
  

Payroll & Other Financial Services

• Assist in payroll processing, ensuring that salaries, tax deductions, and other payroll components are accurately calculated and processed on time.
• Provide financial support in other areas as needed, including budgeting, financial planning, and operational finance tasks.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• BS Accountancy, Certified Public Accountant is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finance and management
• Can speak English language

• 每月执行银行对账，确保所有交易被准确记录，并及时解决差异。
• 负责财务文件的保管和控制，确保如合同、发票和税务申报等关键记录的安全。
  
  

税务与合规管理:

• 编制并提交中国和台湾的月度增值税（VAT）申报，确保严格遵守当地税务法规。
• 确保财务文件记录和归档的完整性，降低税务和财务合规相关风险。
  
  

薪资与其他财务服务:

• 协助薪资处理，确保工资、税款扣除和其他薪资项目的准确计算和及时处理。
• 根据需要在其他领域提供财务支持，包括预算编制、财务规划和运营财务任务。
  
  

任职资格：

• 会计学学士学位，拥有注册会计师（CPA）资格者优先。
• 具备5年以上制造业财务和管理经验。
• 会说英语
