Job Description:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's goals, vision, and market trends in the construction sector.
Lead the identification and targeting of new market opportunities, including potential clients, projects, and partnerships.
Oversee the development of long-term strategic plans to ensure sustainable growth and competitiveness in the market.
Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform decision-making.
Sales and Revenue Growth:
Direct the sales team to develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, managing key accounts and large project opportunities.
Create and execute marketing campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness, market share, and lead generation.
Foster relationships with key clients, developers, contractors, and stakeholders to drive business growth.
Oversee the preparation of sales proposals, tenders, and project bids to ensure high-quality submissions.
Achieve revenue targets and profitability goals through effective sales and marketing strategies.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the business development team, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.
Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide training and development opportunities.
Create a collaborative and results-driven team culture, encouraging innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for repeat business or cross-selling.
Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Resolve issues or conflicts promptly to maintain positive client relationships.
Ensure timely delivery of all commitments to clients and stakeholders.
Market and Competitive Analysis:
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and potential market segments.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market positioning, providing actionable insights for strategic decisions.
Provide regular reports and presentations on market conditions, sales performance, and business development initiatives to senior management.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with the operations, project management, and finance teams to ensure smooth project delivery and financial management.
Coordinate with the legal and contracts team to review and negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop pricing strategies, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Brand Development and Marketing:
Oversee the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns to enhance the company's brand presence in the construction industry.
Manage digital marketing, social media, and advertising efforts to increase visibility and attract new clients.
Ensure marketing materials (brochures, websites, presentations, etc.) are updated and aligned with the company’s services, capabilities, and market positioning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in business development, sales, and marketing in the construction or related sector.
Proven leadership experience, including team management, strategy development, and cross-functional collaboration.
Strong background in sales and project management within the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale projects or commercial construction.
Extensive experience in client relationship management, proposal preparation, and negotiating contracts.
Skills:
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
High level of proficiency in sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Ability to lead and inspire teams, driving a results-oriented culture.
