Roles & Responsibilities

  • To provide clear objectives and ensure efficiency in Project Management of all downstream projects undertaken by SDGI (i.e. Project Budgeting & Cash Flow, Tender & Contract Management, Project Scheduling & Reporting, Compliance and Risk Management.
  • To provide clear objectives and ensure clear communication with stakeholders of the projects (Board of Directors, PLC, Consultants, Project Owner and Government Authorities).
  • To provide clear objectives in providing Engineering Technical support for SDGI Business Units.
  • To provide clear objectives in the implementation of ESH practices in every project implementation stage, from award until handover.
  • To develop and maintain a detailed project schedule for engineering tasks and adherence to deadline.
  • To lead the technical review and approval process for design deliverables.
  • To manage the interfaces between the internal design team and the engineering design contractor, ensuring clear communication and seamless integration of design components.
  • To lead the verification and validation of contractor engineering design deliverables, ensuring they meet all the functional and operational requirements defined for the project.
  • To collaborate effectively with the engineering design contractor, providing clear instructions, resolving technical discrepancies and ensuring alignment with the overall design vision.
  • To prepare regular progress report for all downstream projects, identify the potential risk.


Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 10 years Senior Managerial experiences in construction industries & Project Management (preferably registered Professional Engineer).
  • Experience working with Palm Oil Downstream Projects – Refineries (Bulk and/or differentiated products).
  • Strong leadership, analytical & strategic thinking and excellent coaching skill.
  • Possess good organizational and time management skills.
  • Practice good governance and compliance to Building/Machinery Code & Regulations.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Good inter-relation skill with all levels of internal parties.
  • Good working relationship with SDGI Business Units.
  • Good working relationship with government agencies and external parties.
