The role will be supporting the HRBP function with primary focus on talent acquisition activities across our Asia-Pacific markets.

Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Associate to primarily support our talent acquisition efforts. This role is ideal for a fresher or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in recruitment and talent sourcing. You will work closely with the HR Business Partner to drive recruiting success across Malaysia, India, and potentially Taiwan as we expand our operations.

This role will be offered as an internship with a fixed monthly stipend for one year. Based on performance, it will be converted to a full-time employee position.

Responsibilities


  • Talent Acquisition – 75%
  • Work closely with HRBPs who lead all hiring manager communications and relationships, providing comprehensive administrative and sourcing support for their recruitment efforts
  • Partner with hiring managers (through HRBPs) to understand job requirements and collect detailed requisitions
  • Create and manage job requisitions in the Workday system with accurate job specifications
  • Update and tailor job descriptions as needed to align with market requirements and attract qualified candidates
  • Source qualified candidates across Malaysia, India, and eventually Taiwan using online job boards, social media, professional networks, and creative sourcing techniques
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and assessments to ensure quality before presenting to HRBPs for hiring manager review
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers, ensuring seamless communication and positive candidate experience
  • Assist HRBPs with offer creation and preparation of offer documentation
  • Follow up with selected candidates for required documentation and facilitate smooth offer processes
  • Support onboarding coordination
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system with accurate, real-time candidate information
  • Support campus recruitment activities and university partnerships in target markets
  • Maintain metrics reporting for all recruitment activity and provide weekly reports to Global TA Manager

HR Operations & Employee Engagement – 25%


  • Coordinate with insurance vendors for employee and dependent additions/deletions
  • Collect and verify HR documentation from existing employees
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and market intelligence
  • Maintain attrition tracking and recruitment analytics dashboards
  • Provide administrative support for HR compliance and record-keeping
  • Support employee engagement activities and internal communications as needed

Minimum Qualifications


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 0-3 years of experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Fluency in English; additional local languages (Bahasa Malaysia, Hindi, Tamil, Mandarin) preferred
  • Detail-oriented with excellent data management and organizational abilities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with ability to engage candidates effectively

Desired Qualifications


  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of recruitment tools and HR systems (Workday knowledge is a plus)
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and professional networking sites for sourcing
  • Eagerness to build a career in talent acquisition and recruitment
  • Positive attitude with strong team collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple recruitment processes
  • Interest in working across diverse markets including potential expansion to Taiwan
