The HSE Assistance will play a vital role in supporting the company's safety, health, and environmental compliance programs. This position will work closely with the HSE & Security Manager and other departments to ensure a safe and sustainable working.

Job Summary
The HSE Assistance will play a vital role in supporting the company's safety, health, and environmental compliance programs. This position will work closely with the HSE & Security Manager and other departments to ensure a safe and sustainable working.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and update performance monitoring checklist including preventive maintenance and miscellaneous checklist related to area of responsibility.
- To ensure that the equipment of the pollution control system is service regularly for optimized performance, which includes servicing of pH sensor, filter unit, filter press, activated carbon and others.
- To record chemical consumption to ensure that chemicals used for treatment
- process are readily available and to top up depleted chemicals.
- To adjust chemical dosing as per jar test result to achieve optimum result.
- Immediately report minor and major upset of WWTP and ARCS, to troubleshoot upset condition as far as practicable.
- To update and maintain storage inventory checklist of scheduled waste moving in and out of the scheduled waste store.
- To assist with the proper packaging and labelling of scheduled waste in accordance with regulatory and internal guideline.
- Able to work overtime if required to support operation activity.
- To conduct routine inspection on equipment and perform task based on manufacturer and internal recommendation.
- To attend any training or courses for regulatory and internal compliance.
- Supervise the work of subcontractor and acting as guide for sub-contractors for duty not limited to pollution control system and scheduled waste collection within the company premise.
- To operate and to ensure that the waste water treatment plant and air pollution control system is in compliance with the Industrial Effluent Regulation and Clean Air Regulation 2014.
- To manage the scheduled waste by ensuring that the packaging, labelling,
- storing and recordkeeping of Scheduled Waste movement is up to date, in accordance with Scheduled Waste Regulation 2005.
- To conduct performance monitoring and total preventive maintenance to avoi unplanned production downtime and to optimize both WWTP and ARCS.
- To study the WWTP process, scheduled waste management system and air pollution control system in order to make sound and independent technical decisions in the absence of supervisor.
- To keep area of responsibility in clean and safe condition
- To perform any related duties as directed.
- At least Diploma Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience as technician
- Basic knowledge on the environmental task
- Hardworking, proactive and willing to learn new skill
- Qualified forklift driver / competent person in Environmental Operation (Advantage)
