IT Controller

WHAT'S THE ROLE?

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our Global IT Controlling Team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you act as a financial business partner for Global IT. Together with your colleagues and based on your interactions with your counterparts in Global IT, you will provide accurate rolling forecasts, keep track of actual cost development, manage IT product/service cross-charge, and support the day-to-day Controlling operations. Additionally, you will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our controlling processes, provide better cost transparency, particularly the topic of your focus area.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

In this role, you will

• Interact with your counterparts (senior IT management and stakeholder, team leads, product owners, project managers etc.) on a regular basis and provide transparency on actual and projected cost/cross-charging development (rolling forecast)
• Own controlling processes, e.g., rolling forecast, invoice control, cost recognition, cross-charging, month-end closing for areas assigned to you
• Perform in-depth analyses and propose clear, actionable recommendations, with the aim of cost efficiency and transparency
• Create and lead initiatives focused for continuous improvement of our controlling processes
• Become part of the finance and controlling community in Hilti with more than 500 colleagues worldwide

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably accounting and/or financial management)
• Several years of experience working in controlling, and IT controlling experience as a strong plus
• Ability to work with SAP (cost center reports, internal orders, etc.)
• A proactive, self-organized working style, ability to prioritize and get-things-done
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complexities
• Strong interpersonal skills paired with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent in the English language
