IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a IT Infrastructure Engineer, and help shape the future of cloud technology. At FootfallCam, we build our own private cloud infrastructure using bare metal machines, setup our own Kubernetes cluster and manage our own S3 storage cluster. We're passionate about Linux commands, and you'll often catch us eagerly discussing shell scripting and system optimizations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Support and resolve server or service outage incidents to minimize down time, provide root cause analysis and post mortem reports for the incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and enhance cloud infrastructure capabilities.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud infrastructure, including automation tools, virtualization, and orchestration.
• Document cloud architecture, processes, and best practices for development and operation teams.
• Define and uphold the SOP for infrastructure as code (IaC), Disaster Recovery Strategy and Cybersecurity best practices.
• Audit and enhance existing infrastructure and IT assets on a timely basis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
• At least 1 year of working experience with proven track records in Cloud Computing, DevOps, Infrastructure Administration, Site Reliability Engineering or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with cloud technologies, virtualization platforms, and container orchestration tools. Such as IIS, AWS, GCP, VM, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Pod, Helm, Rook Ceph, CI/CD, Jenkins.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and monitoring tools like Terraform, Ansible, HPA, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Familiarity with backup technologies, storage options and networking. Such as Veeam, AD, S3, NFS, NGINX, HAProxy, Ingress Egress, Istio, Consul, Flannel, TCP/IP, TLS/SSL, DNS, web hosting.
• Familiarity with distributed systems such as Kafka, Pulsar, Druid, Doris, Flink, Bookkeeper, Zookeeper, Redis, MSSQL, Postgres, MariaDB.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale infrastructure solutions will be a plus.
• Experience in AI infrastructure such as GPU, Kubeflow, LangChain will be a plus.
• Experience in setting up and managing hybrid environments (cloud and on-premise) will be a plus.
