Junior Technician (Plating Process)

About Our Group

Johor Bahru Substrate (JBS) Plate Operation is a high technology, chemical-mechanical process responsible for the deposition of Nickel Phosphorus on the Aluminum substrate memory disk in Seagate’s hard drives. We have a 120-odd team of operators, technician and engineers running this operation that generates around 100Kpcs of high-quality disk daily. Our team is focused on producing best in class quality disk, at the lowest cost, in the safest manner while maintain the highest level of motivation and integrity. About The Role - You Will

• Perform shift rotation routine task and line progress
• Prepare the plating chemical for production utilization
• Handle raw plating chemical of the reservoir located at the plating line
• Process on the sample analysis of Nickel tanks, Pre plate tanks & Strip tanks
• Update sample analysis data into SPC system
• Laboratory reagents preparation and process tool calibration
• Monitoring system on Nickel bath parameter in spec ( dash controller & anodic system )
• Work with equipment and process team for continuous improvement and stability of the tool
• Perform continuous improvement on process OEE, Lean Manufacturing, safety hazards reduction and cost saving projects
• Ensuring process flow, specification, procedure, and documentation are in place and accordance to compliance
• Implement effective process control to ensure product and process compliance/conformance
• Execute process trouble shooting and follow up on quality issues
  
  

About You

• Self-motivated and positive working attitude
• A good team player with self-initiative and good problem-solving skills
• Willing to work in clean room environment
• Willing to work according to 12 hours shift pattern, day, and night shift rotation
  
  

Your Experience Includes

• 1 to 2 years of hands-on role in plate process and working in cleanroom will be an advantage. Fresh Diploma holders in any Engineering field (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical are added advantage) are welcome to apply.
• Certificate holders in Engineering field with at least 1 to 3 years relevant working experience can be considered
• Hands-on working backgound in Process quality troubleshooting
• Assisting the Engineer in supporting the process quality improvement
