Kitchen Manager

Job Responsibilities:

As the Kitchen Manager at Vivo Pizza, you will be entrusted with the vital role of overseeing and optimizing kitchen operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality and flavorful dishes. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

Culinary Excellence:

• Lead the kitchen team in crafting and preparing exceptional dishes, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure that food quality, taste, and consistency are maintained across all menu items.

Kitchen Operations:

• Manage kitchen workflow, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, while maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen environment.
• Monitor inventory levels, track ingredient usage, and place orders as needed to ensure sufficient supplies.

Team Leadership and Training:

• Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance on culinary techniques, safety protocols, and sanitation standards.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement within the kitchen team.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Uphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
• Implement and enforce proper hygiene practices among kitchen staff.

Quality Control and Cost Management:

• Conduct regular quality checks on food items and presentation to maintain consistency and meet brand expectations.
• Monitor kitchen expenses, including ingredient costs and labor, and implement measures to control and optimize costs.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Ensure proper functioning of kitchen equipment by scheduling regular maintenance and repairs as needed.

Requirements:

• Culinary Arts Degree or Relevant Certification is preferred.
• Proven experience 3 years in a kitchen management or chef role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of American-style cuisine.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• In-depth understanding of food safety practices and kitchen sanitation standards.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and Public Holidays
• Fluent in English and local languages.
