Lead Field Engineer

Key Responsibilities:-
• To lead, interfacing of construction work with offshore‐subsea interface, supporting Lead Engineer
• To support Lead Engineer on project engineering scope on construction vessel (for Platform Installation)
• To support Lead Engineer on procurement scope for platform construction
• Ensure that constructability is inherent within the engineering and procurement aspect
• To manage and oversee procurement and construction activities, materials and resources availability to ensure project schedule
• milestones are being met by contractor and construction works are performed in adherence to specification / standards
• To manage Site Technical Query, Site Technical Deviation, and any related procurement and construction technical issues with relevant Company personnel for resolution with Contractor
• Provide support to Lead Engineer during critical activities such as offshore‐subsea equipment interface, procured equipment
interface, loadout, trial fit, skidding, jacket launch, topside lift etc.
• Participate in the risk assessment identification (e.g. HAZID) exercise for critical activities at the worksite such as heavy lift,
weighing, equipment installation, trial fit, skidding, jacket launch, topside lift etc.
• To provide leadership and lead by example in on‐site HSE and Quality aspect
• To work closely with Company’s Site Team, and understand performance, issues and resolution proposals.
• Responsible to assist in the preparation for Daily Meeting, Weekly Meeting and Monthly Meetings as requested by Lead Engineer.
• This includes review and summarizing key issues, look forward plan and alternative scenarios to address issues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent technical experience.
• Knowledgeable and experience with offshore platforms design codes and standards such as API, ISO, EMMUA, AWS, AISC, ASME, • oil and gas construction industry guidelines such as IOGP 577, IOGP 459 and IOGP 376. • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Working Experience:
• Minimum 12 years experience in construction industry with 8 years experiences in Oil & Gas sector, with specific focus on
• procurement and offshore facilities construction • Offshore platform installation experience, including launching of jacket
• Experience in managing interface between Contractor, sub‐Contractor and between onshore and offshore construction scope • Experience in managing project schedule and cost
• Experience in managing the different trades in construction (eg. Structural, Welding, NDE, Coating etc) and have the ability to steer the Site Team
• Experience in managing various level of working group and stakeholders, including Government Agencies and Regulators Other requirements:
• Experience as Offshore Construction Supervisor or Offshore Field Engineer (on a vessel)
