Lead Specialist - Payroll

About the Role:

You will process and record the Association's payroll, perform analysis, facilitate payroll wage verifications and reviews, and send advice to vendors confirming distribution. You will report to the Associate Manager - Payroll.

You Will:

  • Process monthly end-to-end payroll for Regional Countries, including UK, Ireland, Poland and others following our established global policy, process and compliance framework (Countries with a higher complexity or headcount).
  • Review payroll for three or more small population countries to ensure accuracy of payroll before next level review by the Associate Manager.
  • Work with the Senior Manager to maintain relationships with established third-party vendors.
  • Process year-end reporting for countries under your care.
  • Ensure statutory compliance submissions are met, with the correct tax and social security calculations and proper tax treatment of employer paid benefits.
  • Handle payroll calendar with respective country payroll.
  • Collaborate with HR, business owners and temporary staff agencies to ensure POs are raised, receipted and payments made, accruing expenditure at every month-end for any temp hires
  • Update Service Level Agreement/Checklist/Escalation log
  • Work with the Senior Manager to provide any supporting documents for audit.
  • Update all Standard Operating Procedure to ensure document is up-to-date.
  • Review timesheet submissions for accuracy and completeness; troubleshoot errors and make necessary adjustments.
  • Reconcile payroll before transmission and validate confirmation reports
  • Use a hybrid work schedule


You Have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

4+ years regional payroll experience within a BPO/GBS/ Shared Services Industry.
