Your Role and Responsibilities

Role is to provide Learning Operations Support to the IBM Consulting Learning & Knowledge team in China. Ability to communicate fluently (both spoken & written) in Chinese is essential.

Tasks Covered To Include


  • Reporting & Data Analytics
    • Extract data from a variety of systems to build reports.
    • Analysis of the data
    • Understanding client needs to construct new reports.
  • Preparation of data to feed other reporting systems (e.g. finance)
    • Extract data from variety of systems
    • Data quality checks & follow up on any issues.
  • Dealing with ad hoc reporting & data analysis requests.
  • Assisting with administration of client owned reporting systems
  • Aiding with some finance processes:
    • Report preparation
  • Administrative functions such as:
    • Mailbox management
    • Monitoring slack channels
    • Maintaining W3 pages
    • Access management
    • Maintaining system accesses


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

The Skills Needed To Perform This Role Are


  • Ability to communicate fluently (both spoken & written) in Chinese is essential.
  • Ability to use excel to a high level is essential.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines over financial timescales (such as month & quarter end) is essential.
  • Experience of data analysis is required.
  • Knowledge of finance processes such as planning & forecasting is useful but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Internal IBM L&K tools such as LRT & EPD useful but not essential
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Cognos useful but not essential
